I feel very fortunate that the years have been good ones for me. I've been married to my husband, Norm, a retired radiologist, for 43 years and we have 3 chidren. Mike is CFO of Tupperware and lives in Orlando. Our second son, Allen, is a professor of Finance in the Business School at the University of Illinois in Champaign and our daughter, Diane, is presently a stay-at-home mom and lives in Buffalo Grove. We have 6 grandchildren.
After graduating from Northwestern, I taught in Lincolnwood for 4 years and then retired to raise my family. During the children's school years, I did volunteer work and a great deal of substitute teaching. I then went on to become the publicity coordinator for District 30 in Northbrook. I produced the district newsletter and wrote a weekly column for the local newspaper publicizing school activities. I retired several years ago. We have done extensive traveling through the years and continue to do so in our retirement. |
