Graduated from the U. of I in Jan '60 - Entered the USAF as 2/lt and A.F. Pilot Tng. Completed a 30 year A.F. career in Apr '90 with the rank of Colonel. Over 6000 hours of flying time in a variety of airplanes including B-47's - B-52's F100s 6V10a Bronco & KC135 tankers. Major assignments included command positions as the Wing Commander of two Strategic Air Command wings. Final AF assignment was Asst. Deputy Director for Logistics, SAC Hqts, Offutt AFB NE. Also flew 277 combat missions in Vietnam as a Forward Air Controller (FAC). Military decorations include two legions of Merit, D.F.C. & 13 Air Medals. Received a Masters Degree from Central Michigan U. in 1977. Subsequent to my retirement from the A.F., my family moved to Texas. I have been the Mayor of my City for the past ten years and also the Chairman of the Lone Star Executive Airport Advisory Board.

My wife Deanne Courtright Kravetz (from Park Ridge, IL and Main township H.S. & U. of I) and I have two daughters Melissa & Alison (both in Texas) and one Grandson with each.

We are very happy in Texas, as my city is built around a 27 hole golf course (come visit -- the first tee is always open)
