Well for starters no one's called me Spec since Senn. Just plain Sherwyn. I took the usual path of Navy Pier to U. of I. Medical School. I married in the senior year and, after graduation, moved to St. Louis. There, I completed an Orthopedic Surgery Residency at St. Louis University. I've practiced in Kirkwood, a suburb of St. Louis for 38 years. I was divorced in 1973 and remarried in 1980. Together, we have 5 great kids with 4 living in St. Louis. Ruth had 2 and I had 3. Her son and my son practice with me. The girls are a lawyer, a chaplain, and a special needs teacher. I have 2 grandkids and hoping for lots more. Ruth is a wonderful watercolorist. She and I split our time pretty evenly between Naples FL. and St. Louis. I plan to do this indefinately because I don't like retirement and no one should unless they're forced to. I still enjoy my work and don't want to stop being a doctor.
