After Senn, I attended IIT and graduated with a BSEE in 1959. I next attended RPI in Troy, NY. I began working for IBM in Poughkeepsie, NY in 1961, joining the group that developed the first airline reservation systems. My 35 year career at IBM was involved developing various products for data communications between computers and terminals. For a short time, I worked in Kingston, NY. That?s when I married Serita Weaver in 1964. The following year, I transferred to a brand new IBM location in Research Triangle Park, NC., and we moved to Raleigh, NC, where we have lived ever since. I retired in 1996 from IBM, but continued working part time until 1999. Now, fully retired, I spend time playing tennis, doing volunteer work (see www.wheels4hope.org) and traveling, mostly to visit with our families, spread across the USA.
Serita and I have three sons, Christopher, Mark and Stephen, and we are the doting grandparents of two boys and a girl.
