I was only at Senn for 1 1/2 years and very shy, but perhaps inwardly rebellious against the standards of the day. I've been living in No.CA, in the East Bay, about 30 miles east of San Francisco. It is here that I discovered my deep interest in writing. Since then, I've co-edited an anthology of contemporary Jewish stories, written a book on care-giving, and contribute work to other publications. You can see some of my work on-line. I'm married to same old Chicagoan who still have a huge clan there, & we do come to visit. We've traveled to Europe, Israel, Turkey, and China. Never an athlete, I now do tai chi,
walk, paddle in the water, and even fly airplanes with the two younger of my four grandsons. I notice that we former Chicagoans seem far more "related" to one another than the "transplants" here from any other city! Best, Elaine Marcus Starkman
