I graduated with a BA degree from Northwestern Univ in June 1959. I taught English and Social Studies in a Junior High for two years, retiring to become a full time Mom. I married Chuck Rivkin, Senn alumni, June 22, 1960. We have three married sons, eight grandchildren and a wonderful life. When my youngest son entered school, I enrolled in the University of Illinois Jane Adams School of Social Work and received an MSW two years later.I worked at a Community Mental Health Clinic, did Community Mental Health education and taught Assertiveness Training at Junior Colleges. I became a Travel Consultant about 15 years ago, and enjoyed planning trips to some of the exotic places my husband and I had visited. I retired from the Travel Industry in 2001.We enjoy living in the City and taking advantage of the many cultural activities, particularly the Opera, Symphony and Theater. Fifteen years ago we purchased a home in Snowmass CO and enjoy biking, hiking, fishing and the Music Festival in the summers and fall, and skiing in the Winter. I was an early adherent to Yoga practice and continue to practice diligently.
