I went from Senn to Wright Jr. College to the UIUC Veterinary School. I graduated in 1961, got married, went in the Army for 2 years, moved to San Antonio and went into small animal and zoo practice. In 1969 I entered the U. of Texas Medical School here, did an orthopaedic surgery residency atthe U. of Arkansas, Little Rock, and came back to San Antonio as quickly as possible. My first (and only) wife, Sondra and I have lived here ever since. We have two daughters, neither married, no grandchildren.
While at Senn and at the U. of I. I played trombone in the band, and recently took up the horn again after >40 years when I joined a local marching band made up of former band members who never forgot how much fun it was. Life has been good, we've had fun, and I keep on working as a surgeon because it's the best job in the world.
