Graduated in 1959 from the University of Illinois (Champaign-Urbana). Upon completion of military service in 1962, returned to Chicago. Employed by Arthur Andersen in Chicago and Philadelphia through March of 1973. Left to take a new bank through the chartering process in southern New Jersey, and served as president of the bank. Left the bank to join an accounting firm in Knoxville, Tennessee, and subsequently formed own accounting firm in 1976. Started a tax liaison committee that meets regularly with the Internal Revenue Service and the Tennessee Department of Revenue in the mid-1980?s and chair it to this day. Serve on the boards of the University of Tennessee Tax Conference and the Tennessee Federal Tax Institute and the Government Relations and Public Policy Committee of the Knoxville Area Chamber Partnership.
Married Ann Montgomery October 6, 1989. Have a daughter and son, aged 43 and 39, from a prior marriage and three grandchildren. |
