Profession: Danced professionally in Chicago and traveled the USA 3 times. Edna McRae Dancers, Dorothy Hild, Lyric Opera, Ruth Pages' Chicago Opera Ballet and various road & commercial shows. Taught ballet, tap, gamut of dance. Danced and later choreographed for college community theatre, childrens theatre, high school musicals and swing choirs for 30 years.
Family: Married to Don Nelson (also of this class) for 29 years. Three children: Susan Joy, Tammy Lyn and Donald Joseph (Joe). Four grandchildren: Justin, 27; Susan's son. Brandon, 12; Steven, 10; and Arianna, 1 year; who belong to Tammy and her husband, Phil Tarallo. Fun things while married: cooking (thank you, Mrs. Wood), sewing (thank you, Mrs. Chapin); flower & vegetable garden; brownie & G.S. leader; room mother; baseball & football mom; drill team mom; Sunday school teacher. Our family enjoyed camping, boating, waterskiing and snowskiing. Trips to Disneyland, Disneyworld, the Caribbean, New York, Washington DC, NJ Shore and Arizona. Retired from Marshall Fields after 20 years. Recovery room volunteer at Alexian Bros. Med. Center, Elk Grove. Presently employed 12 hrs./wk. at Panera Bread. Monday & Tuesday "Granny-nanny" for Arianna and the boys. Tuesday AM volunteer at Willowcreek Church baking cookies, etc. My weekends are free! To worship as I please and attend such things, as they occur, as 50th H.S. reunions!!! It's a wonderful life! God is Good! Amen. |
