My greatest accomplishment has been gaining one pound a year since graduating from Senn. Ah, pigging out is good! For this, my gratitude goes to gym teacher, Ms. Jeffries. And thanks to English teacher Ms. Brown for failing me in English. This resulted in my becoming an English major at Roosevelt U. Another debt is due to the Home Economics class which promised to make us great homemakers. But, I couldn't master the lesson of how to change bed linen while someone was laying on the bed. So, I shied away from marriage. This resulted in my becoming a worker in the struggle for fundamental social change. A civil rights march here; an anti-war demonstration there, and before I knew it, I was a civil rights lawyer. A day late, and a dollar or two later, I'm still working at that & living in Chicago.
