Immediately after graduation I went to work for Standard Oil and remained with the company for eight years. In 1959 Margaret Shinton (Senn 1958) and I were married. I received a B.A. in English from North Park College in 1963, and was a junior high school teacher in Palatine for seven years. I also taught after hours at the Yeshiva in Skokie and sold real estate on the side. In 1970 we moved to western Washington. Since that time, I have earned a doctorate in educational leadership and have worked as a special education teacher and school administrator at district and state levels. I retired in 2003 as a school superintendent. Along the way I have owned a variety of businesses (some successful, some not) and presently I work as an educational consultant and develop real estate on the Washington coast. Margaret and I have three grown children and eight grandchildren, all of whom live within two hours drive and help to keep our lives eventful and enjoyable. I am looking forward to the reunion and am very grateful to the committee for their dedication and hard work. |
