Graduated from Northwestern Univ. in 1959. Degree of Bachelor of Science in Education. Student Teaching-New Trier H.S. in Wilmette. Taught High School English at Steinmetz in Chicago until 1965. Received the Degree of Master of Education in Library Science in 1965.
Daughter Dawn born in 1963, daughter April in 1969. Moved to NY in 1972. Travel extensively with husband to Europe, Asia, Middle East, Africa & Australia while producing national TV commercials. Many winning Cleo awards. In 1978, daughter April cast as orphan in the play "Annie" in NYC. First National Tour in 1978-79 transports us to Toronto, Miami, Washington DC, Detroit, Chicago and LA. Acting as daughter's theatrical manager from 1978-1993, we became bi-coastal living in LA & NYC. April has also starred in the movie "Annie" as well as the TV series "Charles in Charge." However, she now has a law degree. We located permanently to LA in 1989 where we presently reside. In 2004, daughter Dawn published "Twelve Step Plan To Becoming An Actor In LA." She presently lives in NYC with her 2 children, Dylan & Sofia. She has a master's degree from NYU in Drama Therapy. In between extensive travels, I have resumed my teaching career, part-time, in LA, teaching pregnant teenagers in inner city schools to get their G.E.D. Part of the program also extends to teenage parolees under the age of 18. In my spare time, I work a crisis hotline for National Council of Jewish Women. |
