I am a developmental psychologist in the Dept. of Psychology at Drexel Univ. in Philadelphia. My "Interpersonal Cognitive Problem Solving" programs, now call "I Can Problem Solve" and my pioneering research with George Spivack have won four national awards.

In 2004, I was recognized by the American Psychological Association initiative "Psychology Matters" for my research that has valuable applications and makes a difference in people's lives.

I am also the author or co-author of six books, "I Can Problem Solve" curriculum guides for preschool through grade six for use in schools, and numerous book chapters and journal articles.

Based on my contributions of psychology to the media, i was the 1999 recipient of the Psychology in the Media Award, Pennsylvania Psychological Association.   I also speak nationwide on issues relating to our nation's youth. My hobby is tennis.
