Dick and I dated in High School and married four years later in 1959. In 1960, we moved to Upper Arlington Ohio, a suburb of Columbus. We lived there for 18 years during which we had three sons; Jeff in 1962, Dave in 1964 and Rick in 1966. Dick was a Regional Vice President for Levi Strauss and in 1978 we were transferred back to the Chicago area. We settled in Barrington where I began working part-time in a bank as the kids were grown. We've enjoyed travels to the Canary Islands, Africa, England, Ireland and Scotland as well as various domestic family vacations. In 1992, we moved to a townhome on Bangs Lake in Wauconda.
Dick was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2000. He fought it valiantly for four years before passing away in January 2005. I'm still working part-time and busy with friends and spending time with my three sons and their families, which include my three grandchildren, Alex (5), Mia (18 months) and Grace (9 months).
