I graduated from the U of Michigan with a B.A. in Sociology, June 1959; and in 1991, I received a Masters Cetificate in Business Management from Radcliffe Seminars. Married David Kaplan in 1958. In 1961, we moved to Massachusetts whrer David joined the faculty at Brandeis University and here we have remained. While my two sons were growing up, I spent much of my time raising them, and was actively involved in the schools they attended, both as a volunteer in the school and as a member of the parents organization. Later on, I worked as a consumer protection mediator and a court mediator. About 15 years ago, I began writing brief informal essays which describe various relatives and incidents. These verbal portraits make up a kind of family memoir to acquaint my children and grandchildren with some of the highlights of their heritage. I have supplemented this written history with photographs. Both of our sons are married, and we have 5 grsandchildren. They live in Los Angeles where they are tv writers/producers and we try to go out to see them several times a year. David is retired now and I still attend adult education seminars, stay in trouch with relatives scattered all over the country and plan our travel calendar.
