I dated two Hollywood actresses -- Karen Black and Paula Prentiss -- when they were students at Northwestern (real names Karen Ziegler and Paula Ragusa). At the time, I was at the University of Chicago, where I played right field on the baseball team and earned a B.A. in English.
After college, I hired on at United Press International as a news editor and reporter. While there, I interviewed former President Harry S. Truman -- one on one -- and separately, Eleanor Roosevelt. I also covered Cubs and White Sox games. I have done stand-up comedy. Currently, I am the owner of The Madison Corporation, a mortgage firm located in chicago's Loop. |
