After graduating Senn in January, 1955, I was busy planning a wedding. Marvin, my high school sweetheart, and I were married July 30, 1955, so we recently celebrated 50 wonderful years together.
During the past 50 years I have had several different "lives". The first being a stay-at-home Mom to our 4 wonderfl children; Philip (48), Cindy (46), Elaine (44) and Jerry (42). We now have 7 grandchildern, 2 boys and 5 girls. We lived in the Chicago area for may years before moving to tucson for a better way of life, no snow to shovel! However, we are now a bi-coastal family with childern from New York to California. While in Chicago, Marvie and I owned a yhoung men's clothing store on Devon Avenue called "The Clothes Barn". The store opened in the early 70's and a fire destroyed the store in the early 80's. We moved to Tucson in 1989 and Marv and I worked together as Executive Search Recruiters. After that I was became a Marketing Director for a home health care agency and remained in that industry for 15 years. I retired in January and currently am busy with my hobby. I started this hobby in 1993 when I answered an ad for tap classes for a senior adult tap dance group. Our group has a great time performing and have been on TV with Barbara Walters and performed in Las Vegas and San Diego. I'm looking forward to seeing my former classmates and friends. |
