In the 1980's had name legally changed to David Brooks. Am a Missionary Physician with services being rendered by donations. Most of my practice consists of about 80% of indigent Hispanic patients.
We provide full service to them which includes all medication that they may need. This is a family practice that also provides minor surgery to those who cannot afford to go other places. We also provide shelter and food to those who need it. Shelter consisting of a motel room for a couple of nights and food at our local restaurants. I have learned to speak Spanish fluently. My practiced is run following the principals of Mother Threasa and Rolling Thunder who are my mentors. I receive great satisfaction to my being by helping others that cannot help themselves. I am also a daily communicant at St.Joan of Arc Catholic Church here in Blythe. I am a member of the District Healthcare Board(President)who recently convinced the State of California that the hospital belongs to the Community of Blythe rather then some huge Corparation that was sending all the profits to Tenn. I was schooled at Univ of Michigan and Univ of Illinois (MD degree 1962), post graduate work at Univ of Texas,USAF, and Univ of California-Fresno. Practicing (missionary) physician since 1968 - hiatus into emergency medicine for 20 years to help raise 6 sons - currently living in low desert at Blythe,California,still practicing, and serving as president of our local healthcare district and choral director at our church. |
