After finishing high school, I went to college and then on to law school at night. While finishing law school, I made the decision not to practice law, and instead, when into the wholesale diamond and gem business. For more than 35 years I traveled around the world to buy diamonds and gems. Twenty five years ago I moved my family and business to South Florida. Seven years ago I semi-retired and two years ago I fully retired. Now our son runs our businesses in Ft. Lauderdale.
At Senn, I met Gene Sachs, and we got married just out of school. This year, we celebrated our 50th year of a wonderful and fabulous marriage. We now live in Islamorada, Florida, which is in the Florida Keys ... we have a sport fishing boat and fish two to three days a week. We travel on our boat to the Bahamas and Caribbean for our three to four months summer vacation. We enjoy a wonderful life and keep very active. We hope to be able to continue this for another 30 years.
