Based on rumors of my demise, it seems my my most significant accomplishment lies in my survival. In fact, I've been living and practicing corporate law in Manhattan for close to 40 years, been married twice (to my current wife, Anita, who refers to me as her "first husband", for 17 years) and mostly staying out of trouble. We celebrated the wedding of my older daughter, Amelia, with a huge blowout last April, and I've been working on dulling down the expectations of 16-year old Miranda since then. After finishing Harvard Law School, I spent four years in Ethiopia, first as a Peace Corps Volunteer and then as a legal advisor to the Ethiopian Government, travelled in some very strange places, spent a brief time in DC and then jointed my current firm here. I gave up running for bicycling about 10 years ago, and we've travelled extensively to skiing and cycling destinations and to find great food and quantities of good red wine. Anita is an art dealer, and living with her inventory has been an experience. Sad to relate, I've become a Yankee fan. |
