Looking back to accomplishments, I would start with our two children, a girl and a boy and then four grandchildren, which are evenly divided.
Then my profession, which took over my life, until I retired two years ago. After starting a jewelry manufacturing company, in partnership with my husband Mort Silverman, it enabled us to travel the world innumerable times. I truly believe that being able to travel, while we were young, enabled me to widen my horizons, better understand world economies, see different political views and become more compassionate toward mankind.
It also allowed me to shop the world over and collect a lot of "stuff!".
My hobby is fishing, boating and growing orchids. I keep myself busy with volunteering at our local hospital, playing Mah Jongg weekly and being President of "The First Mates" at our local private fishing club. Now that we reside full time in Islamorada, Florida, which is called "The Fishing Capitol of the World", I can indulge myself -weather permitting, anytime I desire.
Mort and I just celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary and cannot believe that we are married either that long or that our graduation was 50 years ago. I wouldn't change one bit of my life and it has been a great run.
