After receiving a BFA from Columbia University (class of Pat Boone),I returned to Chicago to work in records, join the reserves and ultimately to run a fast food operation in the Merchandise Mart.   After 6   years there, I began to work for educational film companies and ultimately ran the film office at the University of Illinois at Chicago Circle.   After leaving there and trying a number of different employment opportunities, I joined the Organic Theatre Company as Business Manager and stayed there for 4 years.   I came to California in '84 at the behest of a close friend who went there to run the L.A. Film Festival.   I had worked with her extensively at the Chicago Film Festival, and came out to L.A. for what was just to be the summer.   However, a permanent position opened up and I worked the final two festivals in '84 and '85. Once that venture went under I began working as an assistant to entertainment attorneys, at studios (5-(5-1/2 years at Fox, 5 years at Sony) and at boutique entertainment law firms.   Ever since leaving basic training in the army I've been an avid horseman.   I had to keep riding farther and farther away from Chicago and in the course of moving from stable to stable began taking jumping lessons.   Never came near making the Olympic Equestrian Team, but had a lot of fun doing it.   Now I mostly ride for pleasure, but still take lessons in dressage.   I have always remained an avid theatregoer and have travelled extensively in Europe and England to ride and to enjoy of opera, dance and theatre performances.
