Retired in 2004 after 45 years in the engineering profession, the last 30 in management; last position as Director of Plastics Engineering for Weber-Stephens Products (Weber BBQ grills). Throughout my career, granted 31 patents,
authored 5 technical articles on various aspects of design and manufacturing, gained recognition as a plastics expert and traveled extensively domestically and internationally for business. My career was creative, exciting and very dynamic, but I have to admit I'm glad it's over. At last, my time is my own again. Now spend leisure time with my 3 children, and a great deal of time with my 8 grandchildren. Travel for pleasure all over the U.S. and actually take the time to smell the flowers and see the sights. Hobbies and activities include fishing with my son or former business colleagues, visiting with boyhood friends, reading history, writing and rehabbing an 1880s Victorian near Galena. Still learning how to relax.
