At the University of Miami for my freshman year, I met my husband-to-be, a senior, and together we returned to Chicago where we were married in 1957. I earned my B.A. at Roosevelt University, and in 1958 Les and I moved to California, settling in Encino where we raised 3 sons, and became active in our synagogue and Jewish community. I served as president of several groups, as a national speaker and leadership trainer, and a teacher and lecturer on Israel. For the past 18 years I have been the Director of Synagogue Services for United Synagogue's Pacific Southwest Region, and for the past 10 years, the L.A. Coordinator for Masorti Judaism in Israel.   My late husband, who was an attorney and then a Judge, and I, traveled to many countries, and especially enjoyed staying in our home in Israel.   My eldest son, who has lived in Israel for 24 years, and my other 2 sons, here in California, have collectively given me 7 grandchildren.   My interests are politics, theater and a somewhat lessened amount of cooking.
